Thanks to Lex Doyle for the great poster.

Some news

Wednesday, January 20, 2010 - 08:06 PM

We are hoping to make this year a busy one for Mo Sayk and we intend to play out a lot more this year. First off, Mo Sayk will be playing at the Grand Hall of the Museum of Civilization on Feb 13 as part of the dinner and dance fundraising event for the feature documentary “Voices of the People” to be produced by Sagesse Productions. Set on the Attawapiskat First Nation community, this documentary follows this Native reservation, its current third world conditions, and the heroes of the community fighting to create awareness and change. If you are interested in helping this fundraiser, come and see us at the Museum. It is a Black Tie Event and the cost for the Cocktails, Dinner, Dance and Auction Event is $125.

On other news, there also has been some personnel changes going on within the band. We would like to introduce our new and very innovative drummer, Andy Clapson. Also, Angie, our saxophone player as well as her husband, Rick, who plays keyboards has left the band. Angie and Rick are expecting their first baby this coming spring. Congratulations guys.

Elage is also having a CD release party at the Le Petit Chicago in Gatineau on Feb 6. His CD is entitled "Askane". Some members of Mo Sayk will be coming out in support of his CD release. Check out his website at www.elage.ca

If you can't make it to the fundraiser, see you all at the Nepean Sailing Club or at the Mercury Lounge.
